I hope that you are all doing well despite the slightly grey day today! It was lovely to hear how the children celebrated Eid Mubarak over the long weekend and I hope for those of you who celebrated that you had a very lovely time.
A few things from me this week.
Tackle Child Abuse – An England wide campaign to help you recognise the signs of child abuse and neglect. Supporting you to report your concerns.
Whole school – 86.52%
Reception – 80.42%
Year 1 – 85.93%
Year 2 – 91.02%
Year 3 – 82.76%
Year 4 – 87%
Year 5 – 89.38%
Year 6 – 88.46%
This is the lowest that we’ve ever had our attendance and I am really hoping that next week we manage to get in as many children as possible. If children are well they really do need to be in school so that they can learn and socialise. I realise that you hear this a lot from me (I probably do go on about it a lot) but it is such an important part of attending school and one that I feel very passionately about.
Let’s all make a concerted effort next week to get our attendance back up towards the National average of 96%

I would also like to take this opportunity to say a massive good luck to all our Year 6 for next week! They have all been working so hard and I know that Mrs Ward and Mr Thomas are incredibly proud of them (as are all the staff). If ever there was a class of children ready for their SATs it’s this class! Good luck Year 6 I have no doubt that you will absolutely smash it!
Take care and I hope you all have a very lovely weekend,
