I hope this email finds you all well and that you’re looking forward to the Bank Holiday weekend?

It’s been a good week at school this week and it was lovely to celebrate lots of fantastic work in our celebration assembly today from brilliant maths, scoring full marks in practice SATs papers, awesome character descriptions.

Whole school attendance 92.12%

Reception 91.6%

Year 1 88.9%

Year 2 94.4%

Year 3 89.3%

Year 4 91.7%

Year 5 93.1%

Year 6 96.1%

Well done to Year 6 for the highest attendance this week – they will be looking after our much loved Attendance Ted next week!

I have attached for your information some information for parents on CAMHS (Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services). There is also some information for children attached.

Huggy Wuggy

It has been brought to my attention that a character named ‘Huggy Wuggy’ is being viewed by some of our children online.

The character can be easily viewed on You Tube channels and is a teddy bear with razor sharp teeth that sings worrying songs about hugging and killing.

Due to the name young people may come across the character and watch a video expecting a bear. Also due to the name, it may slip through some internet filtering you may have in place to protect your child. Therefore, please be extra vigilant when your child is online. I wouldn’t want any of our pupils to be left frightened and upset.

I would also ask that children don’t bring into school any ‘huggy wuggy’ teddy bears or other associated toys.

4th May - Year 5 are a trip to the Discovery Centre to learn all about the Ancient Egyptians which I’m sure will be lots of fun!

6th May – Year 1 have got their Princess and the Pea trip

9th May – SATs week for Year 6

16th May – SATs week for Year 2

23rd May – Ingleborough Y6 (Monday – Friday)

I think that is it for this week. I hope you all have a wonderful bank holiday weekend and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday,

Take care

Sarah xx
