Happy Friday! The children have been absolutely brilliant this week and have coped so well with being back at school and getting used to being all together again (for most things!) A very big thank you too to all the brilliant staff at Spring Bank who have helped to make the transition back into school so easy and enjoyable for all the children.
There isn’t too much news from me this week. I have attached for your information a letter from the NSPCC about the Speak Out Stay Safe assembly that we will be doing with the children in the next couple of weeks. Please do have a read of this and if you would like to know anything more about it then please don’t hesitate to contact me.
We are going to be having in person assemblies from next week which we are all very much looking forward to - we will be having Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 together in the hall on two mornings a week and then Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 on a different two mornings each week. Our star of the week assembly will continue to be a live zoom assembly for the time being.
Please do bear with us over the next week or so as we have new staff in the kitchen who are getting used to the ordering systems, whilst we iron out a few teething problems. This won’t impact on how you pay or how you are contacted about lunches in the interim. If you are experiencing any problems please do let us know.
Some of our clubs are now up and running which is great and it’s lovely to see the children enjoying these. We will be having a history club starting soon and information about this will be sent out to parents as soon as this has been organised.
We are going to be starting up our school Eco Council again (which was going brilliantly before we hit lockdown) and I will be letting the children know about this over the next couple of weeks and how they can apply to be a member of the school eco council. We had lots of children previously who were very keen to get involved with this which was great so we will hopefully get the same level of interest again this time round!
Free school meals/pupil premium
I sent out some information earlier in the week about free school meals with an attached form. Please do check to see if you are eligible for these are it means that your child will receive free school meals throughout their time at primary school, receive help with trips and events and any other support that they may find useful whilst in school. If you would like to know more about this please don’t hesitate to contact either Emma or Miss Bonner in the school office.
It was lovely to share star of the week assembly with the children this morning – the Reception children have all been so brilliant that the whole class received star of the week!
I hope that you all have a lovely weekend and as ever if there is anything that I can do to help please don’t hesitate to get in touch,
