Visit to Castle Museum

On Thursday 13th September, Year Six went on a school trip to visit the wonderful Castle Museum in York as part of our ‘Swinging Sixties’ topic.

We had the opportunity to take part in a Sixties workshop which involved learning about and immersing ourselves in the culture, music and fashion of the Sixties, as well as finding out more about the ‘Space Race’ and how the Sixties were a real change from anything that had come before.

We also got to explore some of the other amazing exhibitions with Dick Turpin’s cell and the model Victorian street being particular highlights.
