Y1 Home Corner
We thought carefully about how to change our home corner
so that it would work as a Victorian kitchen and scullery.
Steel Pans in Y4
Year 4 have been learning about St. Lucia this term. As part of the topic, they have taken part in a steel pans workshop in school. They learnt to play various songs throughout the day and the rest of the school enjoyed their performance at the end of the day.
Y3 Victorian School Room
Y3 visited the Victorian school room. In the morning they took on the role of Victorian school children and learnt how different school life was. In the afternoon they learnt about the jobs that children would have in the mill.
Y1 Thwaite Mills Trip
Year 1 had a fantastic trip to Thwaite Mills. We all dressed up as Victorians and had to wash clothes, clean shoes and shine pots and spoons! We learnt a lot about life in a Victorian house. We also had a tour of the mill which was really interesting.
