Spring Bank Primary has a thriving After School and Breakfast Club run by KIDZONE. Both clubs run five days a week. They also run playschemes in the holidays and on Training Days when there is enough demand.
KIDZONE has been managed by Dawn Adams since September 1998. Here are their aims and some information about the clubs.
Our aim is to create a warm, friendly environment, where children can relax and play under the supervision of experienced, child centred staff, in the company of other children.
The club works within the guidelines of the Children’s Act and the regulatory body of OFSTED.
Sessions run from 8am – 9am and 3:30pm – 5:45pm and are based in the Community Room in school. For the first part of the afternoon session the children over eight use the hall or one of the classrooms to ensure there is plenty of space for the children to participate in the activity they choose. Of course, in good weather, the children can also play outside, supervised by staff.
When children arrive at Breakfast Club they are offered toast and at After School Club they are offered a sandwich and a drink. Children are offered a biscuit when they are collected from After School Club, which many parents find is a useful incentive to persuade their offspring to leave!
An annual registration fee of £10 per child is required and a charge is made for each session booked. All sessions must be booked in advance and a waiting list system operates when sessions are fully booked. Children do not have to attend After School Club or Breakfast Club to attend the holiday playschemes.
Kidzone also accept payment via Childcare vouchers: Fideliti, Edenred, Chamber and Kidsunlimited.
