Spring Bank Primary School

Summer Reading Challenge

Over summer, Headingley Library have been running a Reading Competition – all that has to be done to complete it is read six books, not an easy task in s short space of time but unsurprisingly one that many of our Spring Bank children have risen to! The competition is for absolutely any child who would like to enter and the school with the most participants will win a visit from a famous author – very exciting stuff!

Absolutely loads of students from Spring Bank have been heading to the library to pick up books in an attempt to complete the challenge, so much so that Mrs. Ward has personally had an email from the Library to say how impressed all the librarians have been by the shear number of Spring Bank students they’ve seen at the library. How lovely to hear! In this weeks Good Work Assembly, several children were presented with certificates and medals having read their six books already which is very impressive and we hope for even more pupils to complete

More good news, the competition runs until 15th September so there’s still plenty of time if you haven’t quite completed the challenge yet. Remember, we may be in with a great chance of a visit from an amazing author!
