Let’s get Cooking!

 

As part of Health and Sports Week, Miss Milburn and Miss Naylor organised an after-school cookery session each afternoon for a number of parents and their children. They made a selection of vegetarian/halal dishes, including butternut squash curry, risotto, chilli with guacamole and a chickpea stew; some desserts were also whipped up, including a fruit salad and American pancakes. Some of the produced used was from the Spring Bank allotment too!  All the pupils who took part learnt safe cutting and measuring skills, and there are now several budding chefs here at Spring Bank! We were joined by teachers for a final meal on Friday as a thank you for all their hard work and organisation this Health and Sports Week.
